Porn Scrapbooking

I get a lot of mailings from porn companies. Because I buy a lot of porn, naturally. I am a fan of the glossy mailer...it harkens back to the porn mag itself and from a marketing standpoint, it works. For example: I was really excited about this movie due to this ad. I love me some Arpad. He's a hairy, foreign, top man and I could really see him roughing up some bad guys in this movie while wearing a leather vest and dark sunglasses. He lives in my neighbor hood and I've seen him in person many times. He is gargantuan...an example of movies not letting you see how big someone is rather than vice versa. Anyway the movie sucked. I don't remember were I found this ad. obviously not in an american publication. Featured are Arpad and Matt Cole. Btw I don't think the two have ever had a scene together. Now I can't stand Lucas films, but this marketing was genius. These postcard size glossies were all over New York bars and Wilfried looks so good I was willing to overlook the invariably mediocre porn Lucas puts out and rent a bunch of his titles. The postcards were the best part, needless to say. Although I will admit grudgingly that there is a Lucas movie called "Manhattan Heat" that has a hot scene with Wilfried and Arpad. That's totally an exception though. and even that scene has poor lighting and camera work.

Hot Cover

HX is a gay weekly magazine that generally amounts to good bathroom reading at best. Good for summaries of nightlife and catty humor, once in a while they bust out a truly hot cover. Case in point: Wilfried Knight from a while back: and with Mr. Arpad Miklos, my secret boyfriend: Anyhow, they really outdid themselves this week: You should blow it up to see the detail. Intentional or not, there are a lot of fingers that look like dicks...very Joe Camel. Even for a gay New York rag this pushes the envelope. Good on ya HX.
